Xiloblanconegro: "Human Vices" Exhibition Opening Night

  • 324 High Street Northcote Australia (map)

Our first exhibition for the year by the illustrious and exceedingly talented Taller Xiloblanconegro.

A Chilean visual artist who has worked on engravings for the last
thirteen years. With woodcut, he has sought to rescue the
nobility of the technique with the intention of democratizing
the image and content through the original multiple, reflecting
in a critical way their pieces in the everyday events of
society. In recent years he has been a participant in several
collective projects based on printmaking techniques with whom
he published books such as "R├ęplicas", "Zoonosis",
"Monstruoneo" and "Salgamos a jugar" - all avaliable
at Biblioteca de Santiago, Chile.

"Human vices" is consolidated as its second exhibition in
Melbourne and it can appreciate the critical content it
maintains to make known everyday realities in which it has been
part of. With this collection, he develops the concept of the
figure of the skeleton with the intention of reflecting the
human without distinction of race, color or genre to finally
synthesize in it the addictions that presently envelop the
society day-by-day.
